Before you buy, check if the items in your cart are being sold for less at another store. With its Low Price Guarantee, Home Depot price matches its competitors at the point of purchase. In fact, it will match the price of any other retailer (most other retailers price match to only specific competitors). There are some exceptions to this policy, such as discounted items, special order products and seasonal merchandise, so be sure to read the fine print. Just bring the competitor’s ad, printout, or photo with you to the register for validation. 

Yes. If you buy something from Home Depot and then Home Depot lowers its price, you can sometimes get a retroactive price adjustment. In fact, we just called The Home Depot to confirm the details (because this information is not available on its website). There are some terms to be aware of:

• You have 30 days to request a Home Depot price adjustment after purchase.
• The Home Depot does not do after-purchase price adjustments on other retailers. You can request a price adjustment after purchase ONLY if the price falls at Home Depot itself.
• Home Depot does not do price adjustments from store to online or online to store. The lower price you found must match the way you made the original purchase (online or in store).
• If you made the purchase in a store: Go to customer service with your receipt and request a price adjustment. You MUST make your request at the same store from which you originally made the purchase. Home Depot does not do price adjustments store-to-store.
• If you made a purchase online: Call 800-466-3337 to speak with customer service, or start an online chat.
